Stefan Chiru

Stefan Chiru joined the PAFN Board in 2023. He is very passionate about all things financial and insurance related, and his career goal is to become an Actuary. After graduating with a BA in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia in 2021, he has passed the first three Actuarial exams, and plans to continue on this path.

In 2008, Stefan was diagnosed with Autism. With perseverance and self-compassion, and with support from his family and therapist, Stefan has managed to overcome the obstacles along his way and accomplish several goals so far. In his free time, Stefan enjoys long walks, biking, hiking and karate. He also enjoys traveling and learning new languages, and is fluent in French, Romanian, and proficient in Spanish.

Stefan is grateful and excited to be joining the PAFN board. His goal is to contribute with his experience as a young person living with Autism, in order to make a difference in the lives of his peers.
