Pacific Autism Family Network Welcomes New Executive Director

Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN) is pleased to welcome Dawn McKenna to the role of Executive Director of the Society which oversees the GoodLife Fitness Family Hub - Effective August 21, 2017.

Dawn McKenna Joins British Columbia’s Leading Knowledge Centre for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN) is pleased to welcome Dawn McKenna to the role of Executive Director of the Society which oversees the GoodLife Fitness Family Hub – Effective August 21, 2017.

Dawn will play a critical role in the continued development and success of the one-of-a-kind and first in North America Autism Hub, serving families affected by Autism and related disorders spanning across British Columbia.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dawn, as our new Executive Director”, says Sergio Cocchia, PAFN Co-Founder and Board Chair. “We are very proud to have engaged a leader, collaborator and advocate who understands the vision of the PAFN; putting families and those living on the Autism Spectrum first!”

With roughly 69,000 individuals in B.C. with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the ‘Hub and Spoke’ model developed by PAFN brings together state-of-the-art resources for research, information, learning, assessment, treatment and support all within one network so that no matter where families live, they can access needed services.

“As a leading Executive Director within the charitable sector, Dawn brings immense leadership, dedication and operational knowledge to PAFN’s GoodLife Fitness Family Autism Hub and will lead the centre’s operational growth,” says PAFN Co-Founder, Wendy Lisogar-Cocchia.

PAFN’s GoodLife Fitness Family Autism Hub opened in November 2016, already having served hundreds on the spectrum and with related disorders.
