Donor Spotlight: PDAC’s Commitment to Inclusion and Community Impact

At PDAC, supporting Pacific Autism Family Network began with a shared belief that every individual deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued.

That belief is at the heart of PDAC’s upcoming Concert Charity Gala, an event dedicated to bringing the community together in support of Autistic and neurodivergent individuals and families.

The relationship between PDAC and PAFN first began last year, when PDAC hosted its inaugural gala that brought together more than 200 guests and raised both awareness and support for autism services across British Columbia.

Through that partnership, PDAC learned more about PAFN’s mission and the support it provides to Autistic individuals and families.

“Many members of our team have seen firsthand how important inclusion and community support are for families navigating challenges and life transitions,” shared the PDAC team.

“Some of us also have personal connections with the neurodivergent community through family members, friends, or people close to us. Those experiences have deepened our appreciation for compassion, understanding, and creating spaces where people feel welcomed and supported.”

What began through last year’s gala has since grown into a five-year partnership supporting initiatives like the JET Program and other opportunities that foster belonging, confidence, and independence.

“From last year’s gala experience, it was incredibly inspiring to see youth ambassadors, volunteers, families, businesses, and community organizations come together with a shared sense of care and purpose,” said the team.

“This year, we deeply appreciate organizations such as Canada Visionary Youth Venture Foundation for supporting our efforts and sharing the same vision of youth empowerment and stronger community connection.”

This year’s gala theme is: Music • Starlight • Hope

“We hope to create a warm and meaningful evening where families, youth, volunteers, and community members feel supported, connected, and celebrated together,” said the team.

Through this gala and their ongoing partnership with PAFN, PDAC hopes to create greater awareness, stronger community connection, and more opportunities for neurodivergent individuals and families.

“Inclusion, compassion, and belonging should exist in every community”, said the team.
