Board of Directors

Tamara Rowland

Board Member

Having spent 25 years in the UK, Tamara Rowland moved back to her hometown of Vancouver in 2024. Drawing on both professional and lived experience, Tamara brings a compassionate and practical perspective to board governance.

Tamara worked at McKinsey & Company, a consultancy, for eight years in London. Starting as an EA within two weeks of arriving from Vancouver to start a new life, she quickly moved to become a Research Analyst covering multiple industry sectors. Later as a Practice Coordinator she organized and managed many events. Tamara went on to launch and manage the Media and Design department, working with client service teams, her team of specialists and third parties to design and produce cutting edge communications.

As a parent to three children, two of whom are autistic, she has been a strong advocate for change within the autism community and education system.  Drawing on inspiration gained via the UK National Autistic Society, Tamara successfully established three new PTA’s at Twickenham Preparatory, Moon Hall School for Dyslexia and Wemms Education Centre, a special needs school.  The result of each was a more cohesive and involved parent community, a heightened community awareness of each school’s profile and additional fundraising.

Passionate about community involvement and advocating for programs that create positive social impact. Tamara is a member of the Lieutenant Governor’sAdvisory Council for Meaningful Inclusion.
